It seems like I do less & less every year somehow in my gallery but at times I feel like I'm working hard as ever. I'm not sure what to think of this year. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. It was a difficult year for me because of things that happened, from rashes to heart issues.
I didn't have much for January, but this obviously stood out. A contest prize I made for someone who placed in a contest at my group. I can see a lot of things I would change about it now, obviously, but it's not too bad.
I practiced a bit in February and tried some different things. But this one stood out as well. This one was a gift for my friend *MegamiMizuL for her birthday. Dolphins are very special to her and I practiced a good bit with them before making this. My only regret is not having the time to add an in-depth background. They could use a bit more shading too. Otherwise I think they still look pretty good.
This is another contest prize for someone who won my contest. I had to practice anatomy quite a bit and still didn't get it right. You may also notice the upload date, but I spent the majority of time working on it in April and didn't get it uploaded til then. Deal.
I wanted to pick Galvantula, but that's a start of a new beginning, so I went with this one for sentimental reasons.
This was another year I wasn't satisfied with. It's like I did so little. I didn't have much to choose from for this that I would consider my best. Oh well. Maybe 2013 will finally be my breakout year.
I want to show so much improvement it'll be like it's from someone different each month.

I can see from the first month to the last you become much more confident of where you put your lines. You've also grown a lot of skill in the way you blend pencils.
I see that you prefer to draw people/animals/personality over landscape, abstract, etc. And your style is starting to really shine through.
I like this meme, thanks for sharing it with us. Looking forward to seeing how you develop over 2013!
I'm glad you can see it, cause I can't. xD Oh well!
Sort of. I like landscapes, I just don't do them that often because what I usually create doesn't usually have them in it. I might try some things later this year though.
No problem. I've been using this same Meme from the same person for the past few years and I always think about it here and there when a month ends.

I like that you've been using it consistently. Really shows how an artist can grow over a year.
