More copic practice, though this was more a test run of seeing how my streaming would work out, using my own homemade "tripod" and seeing how everything panned out online and through my streaming device. According to my friend, it worked fantastically. Though, my standards are much higher. I have a lot of kinks to work out.
Since I was more focused on that, it was difficult to keep my coloring straight. Teddiursa is now a weird orange pink color according to the Pokemon games, but it used to be brown like this. I didn't have quite the exact color though so I had to do some guesswork too. I think I try to pick out too many colors to begin with.
I needed more shading in certain areas IMO but I kind of let it get away from me and I didn't want to change it too much from the end of the stream. The stream itself was a success though, and I might have more in the future. But it will mostly be just coloring, as there's no way I'll be able to sketch during it (unless it's showing progress, then drawing, then progress) and I probably won't be inking, either, since inking is a very intense experience for me. That being said, the more important stuff probably won't be streamed because I don't need any distractions.
It would be great to do something like Prismacolor colored pencils though since there's no race against time.
When I got to the inside of the ears, I kind of had a derp moment because I hadn't thought anything about them but it came out OK. I was gonna try to do something different with the eyes but got overcourageous and had to do that XD
Copic sketch markers, copic multiliner, Pentel white gel pen
Your Ustream was pretty neat to watch. I liked how you drew and the music (I assume Pokemon) was a nice surprise. Thanks for sharing your vid!
I noticed the camera was shaking a lot - how is it set up with the tripod? I have my crab cam taped down to my camera's tripod with packing tape. It's rather stable, but then I'm doing mine time lapsed. Just curious how you've set yours.
Also, you hold your pens differently than I do. Do your fingertips get cramped/numb after drawing like that a while? :S
It's tricky when there's such a broad area with the same color.
My "tripod" is a cardboard box and some wire, and the camera is my phone since I have unlimited data on it. so yeah, it's gonna shake a bit. I'm gonna try something a little different next time, but I don't think tape would help my setup much. I'm just not much of a craftsman I guess.
Not really, this is the way I've always held pens & pencils o.O
Ohh, I see. Yeah, before my partner suggested using my tripod (duh!) I was using an empty plastic bottle to try and film. I think if I didn't have the set-up I do now I would have tried something weirder. Perhaps a dowel or taped it to the wall maybe.
Yeah, I guess if you grew up using it that way you'd have no prob with numbness. I think I learned how to draw my way from growing up with chopsticks. Which makes me wonder, do you hold your utensils the same way? 0.o
It would have worked, too! But yeah I like the tripod set-up now. I can re-adjust easily though I have to take it apart when I want to take pictures elsewhere.

I don't think I hold my utensils exactly the same way. I don't know, I never really pay attention X: lol
Oh I see.
Good to hear that. Pokemon characters are cute!
