I got the inkling to play Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars after my eye caught some of it's sprites online. If you didn't know, this game (SMRPG) happens to be my all-time favorite game. Although I've played it a lot (mainly when it was newer on the SNES when I was younger), I've only cleared it once on the Wii's Virtual Console, and during that playthrough I didn't get to do a lot that I wanted to.
So I decided to sit down and take a whack at it. And by that I mean I really sat down with it and pressed out everything.. and put in quite a bit of hours in a short amount of time, lol. Don't ask how I did it, I dunno. Here's my totals, according from the Wii Menu:
From Wednesday, 6/8/11 to Monday 6/13/11, SMRPG time totals:
Wednesday: 03:53
Thursday: 03:29
Friday: 07:10
Saturday: 06:04
Sunday: 04:04
Monday: 08:04
Total: 32:04, or 32 hours & 4 minutes. Out of 144 hours/six days. I played through Sunday night into Monday morning, hence the large time total, same could be said about Friday into Saturday, Saturday into Sunday, etc.
I did a lot more playing than I did sleeping
But this time I was able to fight the secret boss, beat up Jinx, I got the Star Egg and Lamb's Lure/Sheep Attack, bought enough fireworks for the Star firework ending, leveled everybody to 30 (max, which I did this pretty early anyways), got all the accessories, weapons, armor at some point or another, and maxed out FP, or Flower Points to 99. I missed a few hidden boxes, but all this is good enough for me.
And even after all that, part of me wants to do it ALL over again, right now.
I love everything about this game. Every character, all the music, all the graphics, sound effects, absolutely everything. I can't really think of anything I don't like about it. This is the game that started it all. You wouldn't have your Paper Marios or Mario & Luigis if it weren't for this game and they still don't come close. I think that the first Paper Mario game got the closest to SMRPG with all the sidequests, the partners, the memorable characters, music, etc., let's just say Nintendo did their best on their own and it's very saddening that we may never see Mallow, Geno, Croco, Booster, and all the original characters SMRPG had ever again, at least not in a starring role. It's a shame too because Geno and Mallow would be prime candidates for Super Smash Bros. too, they're both unique, especially Mallow...
I don't think anyone would truly appreciate this game the way I do unless they explore and examine things. If you just blow through it and not pay any attention to the finer details, you'll just miss the charm. Things in this game change as you progress, so going back and talking to people, they say different things and you can do different things and possibly get different items.. You can overstay your night at a motel and have to do bellhop services (which can lead to some good items) and even in said motel you can take a shower and Mario will come out all steamed up.. it's very funny. Just one of the little things you'll just overlook if you don't take your time and savor it, which is something not a lot of people do these days, both players and developers. It's rare to find a game like this, and this one is truly one of a kind.
But anyways, enough about that, that's basically where I've been.
I'll probably do a couple warm-up pics before I start on the real stuff. It's just comforting to know I don't have to do any requests right now nor do I have a waiting list...
Also I will have a news reveal this weekend if all goes well so be sure to stay tuned for that.
This may sound selfish but
I'd like to get my watcher count up.
I'm thankful for the people who I do have, but..
It's just a little weird when only about 20-30 people ever comment, fave or say something to me out of about 270.
I'm aiming for 300.
The only way to do this, to get more
is to make great art.

Mainly cuz at the time that's the only way I could get it. if I could've bought online beforehand (which I could only DREAM of) I probably would've gotten an actual SNES cart. I might still do that anyways when I get just a little extra $$$.
and dang. you played it allot! O.O
I wish everyone I knew was nicer to Mallow. He's not that bad!
And yeah I played it a little too much I think, it's a little ridiculous. XD
Mallow is fantastic. I use him for most of the game because of his elemental attacks and he's pretty cheap on FP too. When those start to become a little unviable, I swap for Geno. His extra normal attack power usually helps more during those late areas, post volcano.
I pretty much never use Bowser in this game, which disappoints me. I want to, but Geno and Mallow are just better choices for me, since Mario usually uses normal attacks anyways.
