Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

The month is nearly half done and I haven't got jack done so far. I guess I just needed a break, but this is far too much. I guess other things have gotten in the way; I haven't been able to touch a pencil in about 4 days.

Which is bad...

I haven't been online either, so the messages are stacked high; I apologize in advance to getting to stuff so slowly..

I suppose... I don't really know what to say except I hope to get back on things sooner or later.

Not a lot of folks talk to me anymore so I'm not that used to writing like this. My life is boring, lol.

Perhaps I need to make a major change... and actually stick to my word.

There's a website that I watch that acts like a radar to observe what they might be doing to the weather. [link] It's currently down, though. (Can't see stuff when there's solar storms, etc.)

There was a huge spike of a 10 on kentucky, the first 10 rating ever since that website started up tracking. It was right before the events of the tornado outbreak earlier this year in and around Kentucky and my area.....

Ever since then I've watched it a bit more closely...

Right before it went down, there was not one but two ratings of above 7.0, both on Southern California. So some people think there's gonna be an earthquake in the next few days.

Hey! Im not sure if you remember me but your drawings are still amazing! I've been kind of in a rut as well. Drawing isn't really my thing but I can't seem tofind a creative outlet and stick to. I've tried animating and writing and I can never seem to stay with it. Perhaps its a lack of motivation :/ Either way I'm still trying to get something done. I just came up with a new idea for a survival horror story and I'm going to try to stick with it. Anyway back to you, I think taking a break might be the right thing to do

Of course if you ever get the urge to draw then do it! Nothings better then a fresh idea!

I have a lot of fantastic ideas, some I've had for years, but I'm just not quite there yet to put them to good use and to translate the idea clearly and crisp.

I will probably continue to take a break the next few days but I will be practice sketching when I have time.
